This training adresses youth [care] workers who want to promote the growth, well-being and mental health of the young people they work with, through Adventure and Outdoor experiential learning
The aim of the training course is to give opportunities to European youthcare workers to acquire competences with which they can strengthen their target groups:
- By gaining insights in how to facilitate experiential learning processes, in an adventurous and/or natural context
- By building an international network of youthcare workers and acquiring competence to set up international Youth Exchanges for their target group of young people.
The training course is facilitated by Mario D'Agostino and Angelica Paci [Kamaleonte], Alexander Rose [Terapia Aventura, ATI] & Liza Lauwers [NATURE]
Participants have to apply for the training via Salto.
Adventure Europe is a long term training course, built up in three well designed phases.
- Phase 1: A six day outdoor and experiential training course [september 2025]
- participants take part in an intensive six day training in a group of youth [care] workers form all over Europe, to experience how Adventure Education can be used to enhance connection, empowerment, mental well being and personal growth.
- participants are supported to use their own experience to develop their 'grounded' theory' ont outdoor and experiential learning, that they can apply in their own local youth care context, in which they work.
- particpants are offered plenty of opportunities to build a network of European youth-care workers, that are motivated to co-create European mobility projects in favour of their target group, building on the shared experience, insights and frameworks they developed.
- An online coaching practice of 5 online sessions, where participants are supported to bring their insights into practive and where participants are supported in the development of European Youth Exchange projects.
- A consolidation meeting in march 2026, where all particpants reconnect, share new practices and consolidate their network.Groepsdynamica, ervaringsgericht, experientieel, active reviewing, leave no trace
